Chautauqua Literary & Scientific Circle Partership

Fort Collins, Colorado Beet Street is pleased to announce its partnership with the Chautauqua Literary & Scientific Circle (CLSC), the oldest Book Club in America founded in 1878. Fort Collins readers are invited to join clubs around the world to get together to read and discuss annual selections. Discussion guides will be provided to interested groups. Children’s Book Club selections will follow a similar schedule in discussing select books that will appeal to 10-14 year old readers.

Featured authors will be invited to come to Fort Collins to discuss their work with local participating book clubs. The presentations will also be available as podcasts on the Beet Street website. The 2008 reading list, calendar of author appearances, and local discount opportunities for books will be available in March, 2008.
