CARL HAMMERDORFER

Director, Colorado State University Global Social & Sustainable Enterprise Program

Carl Hammerdorfer is Director of the Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise program. An entrepreneur with twenty years of experience internationally and domestically, Hammerdorfer has worked both at the grass-roots level as a Peace Corps Volunteer (Mali) and as Country Director for ACDI/VOCA (Poland) and Peace Corps (Bulgaria).


He has extensive experience forming and launching cooperatives domestically and internationally, and co-founded America’s first co-op incubator, Mainstreet Cooperative Group. His current passion is in developing and applying enterprise solutions that produce triple bottom-line results in base of pyramid markets. Fluent in German, French and Bulgarian and conversant in Bambara and Polish, he holds an MBA from Colorado State University.
