Culture Cafes

Grab A Drink.  Have A Snack.  And Get Smarter.
All in about an hour!

Science Cafe :: Art Cafe :: Recreation Cafe :: History Cafe

Beet Street’s Culture Cafes connect our local community’s experts with the general public for an informative and engaging presentation every Wednesday. Cafes take place on Wednesday evenings at a downtown restaurant over dinner and drinks, and are informal and accessible – much more interactive than just a public lecture or performance.

Each cafe is focused on a theme important to Fort Collins: science, arts, recreation, and local history and culture. Beet Street Culture Cafes will keep you on the cutting edge of the Fort Collins arts and culture scene.

There is no cover charge for the presentation; audience members purchase their own food and drinks.

Beet Street Culture Cafes feature:

  • Weekly presentations, with each gathering organized around a specific theme or organization
  • A short talk from the speaker followed by questions and answers and general discussion.
  • We encourage audience arrival at 5:30 pm to order food and drink and to socialize with other participants. The talk begins at 6:00 pm and we wrap up at 7:00 pm.
  • Individual Culture Cafes (Science Cafe, Art Cafe, Recreation Cafe, History Cafe) will include a blog on the topic, links to reading materials, and a forum for feedback, comments and discussion.
